Quick Start Guide
Let's get you started on discovering and managing your cloud resources. Follow these steps to set up Radar on your local computer:
Step 1Connecting Cloud Credentials
Radar needs access to your cloud provider accounts and Kubernetes cluster to discover and display your resources. Follow the instructions below to connect your credentials:
Google Cloud (GCP)
Radar uses Application Default Credentials (ADC) to access your GCP resources seamlessly. Ensure that you have the necessary permissions by setting up ADC using the following command in your terminal:
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Radar relies on your authenticated AWS profiles to access AWS resources. Make sure you have the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) installed and configured with the appropriate profiles. You can configure your AWS profiles using the following command:
Kubernetes
Radar uses your local Kubernetes configuration (kubeconfig) to interact with your Kubernetes clusters. Ensure you have kubectl installed and configured your contexts correctly to access your Kubernetes resources. Depending on the cluster, you may need to run authentication or vpn set up to ensure the contexts have access to the clusters
Step 2Let's Get Started!
Great! You've connected your credentials, and Radar is ready to discover your cloud resources. Launch the Radar application, and it will open in your default web browser.You can launch in the following ways:
In terminal, navigate to the location of the downloaded binary and execute it. For example:
In windows file explorer, double click on radar.exeOnce started, Radar will automatically start the discovery process. Depending on the size of your infrastructure, this may take a couple of minutes.мм
Step 3Explore Your Cloud Resources
